


This garage is an extension of Nationwide's existing 630,000 sf parking facility. It offers an additional 560,000 sf of space to accommodate 1,500 to 1,800 vehicles on nine levels. The new construction included post-tensioned, cast in-place concrete, pre-cast concrete panels, architectural steel on masonry piers, canopies, aluminum louvers and an aluminum/glass curtain wall system. The existing garage was also retrofitted with new elevators, fire protection, electrical upgrades and facade enhancements.
The construction of this project was choreographed around two adjacent and concurrent projects-The Marconi-Front Street Connector and the Railroad Cap/Plaze Entry also for Nationwide Insurance. Smoot Construction also served as the General Contractor on this project.
