PT & Associates was formed in 1992 to develop and implement banking products and services to penetrate the growing low-to-moderate income and minority markets. Banks have traditionally been unable to penetrate these two markets, but by utilizing the systems that have worked in SRP's other entities, PT & Associates was able to garner the resources and develop specific products needed for these markets. The community reinvestment needs of financial institutions and the needs of urban communities are served through our Community Centered Banking (CCB) Program ©.
The marketing element of this effort is unique and provides one of the critical success elements of the Community Centered Banking Program. The effort included a delivery system to these communities through local churches and other religious institutions, the primary truly trusted institutions serving the urban communities. The Program integrates financial products and educational seminars with church members, and participation results in regular contributions to the members' church. The Program helps bridge the chasm between big business and the low-to-moderate community and allows true communication and business relationships between the community and banks to occur.
To date PT & Associates’ initiatives have generated:
Was one of the first development companies that focused on development of low income tax credit projects concentrating on scattered site vacant and abandoned properties in an urban central city. We have completed several million dollars in rehabilition structures that have been syndicated to create low-income rental housing that eventually were sold back to a church and some of the tenants that were renters in the program.
